By making a purchase from Clear Defend, you acknowledge and accept our data protection policy and the processing of your personal data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and only collect data necessary for processing your order. The following information summarizes how we store and process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Clear Defend processes personal data in compliance with the GDPR. To safeguard personal privacy, personal data is not disclosed to external parties. Exceptions to this are made if the Customer has breached the terms of this agreement or if a public authority requests disclosure based on Swedish law. As a data processor, we handle personal data in accordance with instructions from the Customer. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data.   

1. What Information Do We Collect?

Clear Defend is responsible for the processing of personal data that you provide to us as a customer. We collect information from you when you place an order through our website or contact us. This information includes data provided at that time, such as name, company name, organization number/personal identification number, telephone number, email address, or similar data. Personal data is any information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a natural person.

In addition to this, our website automatically receives and stores information from your computer and browser, such as your IP address and the page(s) you visited on our site.

2. Why Do We Collect This Information?

2.1 To manage your order and respond to inquiries related to your order (customer service), we store your first and last name, address, telephone number, email address, IP address, and purchase history.   

Your personal data is processed by us to manage your order and, when you have requested newsletters or promotional offers, to tailor marketing to your individual needs. This type of information is used to provide the service. Upon termination of the service, your data remains in our business system unless you notify us that you wish to be removed from our register. If you wish to have your data permanently deleted, please contact us.

2.2 To assist you with the service and for customer management, we also process:

  • Administrative information
  • Information about the services you have purchased
  • Contact details
  • Cookie data

We believe that we are entitled to process this information to maintain the customer relationship and to provide you with personalized service. If you do not consent to this, please contact us.

We also process invoicing information in accordance with applicable legislation, for example, for accounting purposes. This information is stored for as long as required by law.

3. How Do We Handle Your Data?   

We never disclose your data to third parties unless you explicitly consent to this. The exception is trusted third parties (data processors or sub-processors) who are necessary for our website and service. Your data is stored for as long as we have a legal basis to process your data, for example, to fulfill the contract between us or to comply with a legal obligation according to, for example, the Accounting Act.   

In connection with a purchase, your personal data is processed to fulfill the agreement with you. Marketing, promotions, and similar mailings are sent after obtaining your consent. When a purchase is made, information is shared with our payment provider. The information stored is first name, last name, address, email address, and telephone number. If you choose to pay by invoice, your personal identification number is also stored with the payment provider. The information is stored to complete the purchase and to protect the parties against fraud.   

The payment providers we use are: Swish, Direct Payment.   

To deliver your orders and fulfill our agreement, we must share specific information with the shipping company. The information shared with the shipping company is first name, last name, and address information for delivery. Email address and/or mobile phone number may also be shared with the shipping company for notification purposes.   

The shipping companies we cooperate with are: DHL, Schenker.   

If you have chosen to subscribe to our newsletter, your first name, last name, and email address are shared with our newsletter provider. This is to keep you updated with information and offers for marketing purposes. We use MailChimp for sending newsletters.   

4. Information Security

Clear Defend is responsible for the storage and processing of personal data in the webshop and ensures that the rules are followed. The computers/servers used to store all personal information are stored in a secure environment.

We use industry standards such as SSL/TLS and one-way hash algorithms to securely store, process, and communicate sensitive information such as personal data and passwords.   

We use one.com as a platform for our website.

5. Your Rights

As a customer, you have the right to contact us and obtain information about what personal data we process about you, the possibility to update it, or to have it deleted. You have the right to receive extracts of all information we hold about you. Extracts are delivered electronically in a readable format. You also have the right to ask us to update incorrect information or complete information that is incomplete. You also have the right to object to the processing of personal data based on our legitimate interest. We will then cease processing the personal data unless there is a legitimate reason that overrides your rights.   

6. Cookies

Cleardefend.se uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your computer and help us count unique visitors to the website.

We also use third-party cookies, such as from Google, to improve the experience for our customers. You can refuse cookies and still use our website, and you can also turn off the cookie function in your browser. You do this in the security settings of your browser.

7. Email Communications

We only use the email address you provided when you purchased the service to occasionally send information and updates that are important for the service, newsletters, tips for your service, etc. If you no longer wish to receive such messages, you can unsubscribe at the bottom of each email.

We use a small number of suppliers as sub-processors for the personal data that we handle in accordance with the GDPR.
