About Clear Defend
What does Clear Defend do?
We create custom-fit, pre-cut, and ready-to-install protective films for trucks. Our products are carefully designed to protect trucks from scratches and paint damage in a simple and effective way.
How are your products developed?
We handle the entire process behind our film solutions. We study where and how wear and tear occurs on different truck models, create prototypes, test them thoroughly, redesign if necessary, and then create a final product. Our goal is for the product to provide smart protection and be easy for our customers to install.

What type of film does Clear Defend use?
We use established, high-quality film brands from reputable manufacturers.
Is the Clear Defend film visible after installation?
Our transparent film is barely noticeable after installation. The smoked film has a slightly darker tint. Please see our Instagram feed for example photos.

Yes, we are constantly expanding our product range. We welcome your suggestions for products you would like to see in our selection!
What truck models does Clear Defend offer products for?
Clear Defend offers protective films for Scania Next Generation R, Scania Next Generation S, Scania Next Generation P, Scania Next Generation G, and Scania R.
For Volvo, we offer protective films for: Volvo FH5, Volvo FM5/FMX5, Volvo FH4, and Volvo FM4/FMX4.
For step protection for Mercedes, DAF, and MAN trucks, we are currently looking for product testers in or near Skåne, Sweden.
What parts of the truck do Clear Defend's film products cover?
We are constantly developing our range. Please check our webshop to see our updated selection. Currently, we offer protective film for truck steps, headlights, auxiliary lights, handles, interior doors, and fuel tanks.
Does Clear Defend sell anything other than protective film?
Yes, we also sell merchandise and offer our logo in your desired color (we include a standard decal with every order).
Shipping of Clear Defend Products
What is Clear Defend's delivery time?
Our standard delivery time is 2-5 business days. Delivery times may be extended during Truck Meets/Truck Shows as our retailers (or we ourselves) sometimes require increased stock of Clear Defend products at their stands. During the summer months and around Christmas/New Year, delivery times may also be affected by our own vacations.
Does Clear Defend offer express delivery?
We usually pack and ship all our products on the same day we receive the order, so you, as a customer, receive your products the next business day. If we don't have your specific product in stock that day (we do a lot of on-demand production), we try to resolve it as quickly as possible. If your order is very urgent, please feel free to contact us, and we will see if we can arrange a faster delivery.
Installation of Clear Defend Protective Film
Does the kit from Clear Defend include everything I need for installation? / What is included in a Clear Defend kit?
Your kit includes: an application template, installation instructions, a squeegee, and a spray bottle, which are the basics for a professional installation. However, we recommend that you also have a heat gun for post-heating and a dry cloth to remove excess liquid.
How long does it take to install a Clear Defend step kit?
We all work at different paces, so we can't give an exact time. You can expect about 60 minutes if you have never installed film before and 30 minutes if you are experienced. Also, factor in the cleaning time for the parts you will be applying the film to.
My vehicle already has scratches. Is it worth installing protective film?
Absolutely! The film not only protects your truck from further scratches, but it also makes the paint look newer as the film is glossy and the old scratches end up underneath. See our example photos on our Instagram feed.
Can the film be repositioned if I misplace it during installation?
The film can be removed and repositioned until it is pressed firmly with the squeegee. As long as there is water between the film and the paint, you can move the film. Once the water is removed, the film adheres and should not be re-applied.
Can I get help with the installation of Clear Defend's protective film?
We collaborate with various installers: Kama Produkter (Kalmar), KontorsHjälpen Tryck och Reklam (Strömsnäsbruk), Lacktyl (Ängelholm), Joma Reklam (Örkelljunga), and Mjölby Billackering.
However, our film can be installed by anyone, so you can also ask your body builder, painter, local wrapping company, or handy friend to help you if you prefer someone else to install it for you.
Is it easy to install a Clear Defend kit?
Yes, we and many of our customers think so. Some pieces require a little more concentration when installed over rounded shapes, but if you follow the instructions, it's easy.
I have ceramic paint protection on my truck. Can I still install Clear Defend's protective film?
Yes, you can, but it is important that you thoroughly clean the bonding surface with an alcohol-based solution. The ceramic coating can prevent the film from adhering optimally. It is best to install the film first and then apply the ceramic coating.
